A TEACHER Party-list held a citywide motorcade and historic meeting de avance at Plaza Miranda, rallying support for teachers' rights and education reforms.
The A TEACHER Party-list, led by nominees Julieta Cortuna, Edgardo Avengonzar Jr., and Virginia Rodriguez, successfully organized a citywide motorcade along Taft and Rizal Avenues yesterday, culminating in a historic meeting de avance at Plaza Miranda in Quiapo, Manila.
“This is a historic day for A TEACHER Party-list as we hold our first-ever meeting de avance at Plaza Miranda. This event marks a significant milestone for our movement,” said Julieta Regudo Cortuna, expressing her appreciation to the supporters who participated.
The Advocacy for Teacher Empowerment Through Action, Cooperation, and Harmony Towards Educational Reforms, Inc., more popularly known as A TEACHER Party-list, is committed to advocating for the rights and welfare of educators across the Philippines.
During an interview with Pwersa Balita, Edgardo Avengonzar Jr., the second nominee of A TEACHER Party-list, highlighted the critical role of teachers in shaping the nation. “Teachers are not just educators; they are mentors who guide students through personal and social challenges, helping them make informed life decisions. They provide emotional support, build resilience, and serve as role models of ethical and positive behavior.”
The event concluded with a strong demonstration of public support at Plaza Miranda, where a large crowd gathered to advocate for teachers' rights and essential educational reforms. The significant turnout underscored the growing public backing for A TEACHER Party-list’s mission to strengthen the education sector and improve conditions for educators across the country.
